Apni Zameen Apna Ghar program is a special initiative by Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This scheme offers free 3-marla plots to the poor and homeless across Punjab. It supports the vision of “Housing for All” so that every family can proudly say: Apni Zameen Apna Ghar – their own land, their own home.
This effort is managed by the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency, and supervised by the Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department.

Plots are being given in these 19 districts:
Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khushab, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Baha-Ud-Din, Okara, Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Vehari
Under Phase 1 of the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar program, 1,892 free 3-marla plots are being distributed in 19 districts of Punjab. These plots are being offered only to poor and landless families who meet the eligibility criteria. The main goal is to help deserving families become landowners and proudly say: Apni Zameen Apna Ghar.

Each district has been given a specific quota of plots, and full details have been shared to ensure transparency. This is a golden opportunity for low-income families to build their own homes and live with dignity.
Eligibility Criteria – Apni Zameen Apna Ghar
To benefit from Apni Zameen Apna Ghar, you must meet the following rules:
- Be a permanent resident of Punjab with a valid CNIC.
- Apply only for plots in your own district.
- You, your spouse, or dependent children must not own any plot or house in Pakistan.
- You must have a clean criminal record.
- You must not be a defaulter of any bank or financial institution.
- All provided information must be true and correct. False info can lead to disqualification.

Rules for Plot Use (TORs) – Apni Zameen Apna Ghar
If you are selected, you must follow these rules:
- Start construction of your house within 6 months of getting the plot and complete it in 2 years.
- You cannot sell, transfer, or rent the plot for 5 years. Doing so will cancel your plot.
- If you don’t follow the rules, your plot will be taken back after 1 month’s notice.
- If you gave false information, the plot will be taken back without compensation.
- Plot must only be used for residential purposes.
- No commercial activity or illegal construction is allowed.
- For any dispute, it will go to the Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC).
- PHATA has the right to inspect your construction anytime. Breaking the rules can lead to legal action.
