Cody Hochstenbach

A postdoctoral researcher in urban geography at the University of Amsterdam specialized in social and spatial inequalities on the housing market and in cities. In 2017 he defended his PhD thesis “Inequality in the gentrifying European city” Cum Laude (with distinction). In 2019 he was awarded the NWO VENI Grant.

Apart from doing research, he pride himself in actively contributing to public debate, and regularly write on-eds for newspapers and online media such as Social Issues, Joop and StukRoodVlees . Since June 2019 he has been writig a bi-weekly column for Dutch news website RTL Z .
He is also editor and secretary of the Dutch peer-reviewed journal Policy and Society.
