Written Exam:

The writing exam of CSS is a comprehensive written test that includes 12 subjective examinations. 6 out of 12 examinations are compulsory, and the remaining 6 are optional:

Viva Voce:

The Viva Voce is conducted to process the intellectualism and keenness of participants. The Participant should be well-educated about general knowledge and superior at communicative skills

Psychological Module:

The Psychological Module is the most important screening procedure available in the CSS examination structure. It is important to know if the Participant is mentally stable for applied designation. The psychological module is conducted to test the cognitive mental health of the Participant. The Participant must be ambitious and fierce enough to work in the civil sector.

Note: The Viva and Psychological tests are together marked out of 300 numbers

The CSS examination is held between February and March. The exams date and application form opening are advertised in newspapers in September.

  • Deposit the chalan fee of 2,200 PKR in the State Bank or National Bank of Pakistan
  • After submitting the challan form, go to the FPSC website again fill the CSS application form online
